Senior U.S. Department of Energy Officials to Deliver Remarks at 2008 Deloitte Energy Conference: Pathways to a Secure Energy Future
WASHINGTON - On Monday, May 19, 2008, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Alexander (Andy) Karsner will deliver remarks at the 2008 Deloitte Energy Conference. Assistant Secretary Karsner is expected to discuss the Administration’s long-term strategy to increase our nation’s energy and economic security and confront the challenge of global climate change through the research, development and deployment of renewable energy efficiency technologies that will help diversify our nation’s energy sources.
On Tuesday May, 20, 2008 DOE Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Fossil Energy Jim Slutz will deliver remarks at the 2008 Deloitte Energy Conference. Acting Principle Deputy Assistant Secretary Slutz is expected to discuss the National Petroleum Council’s (NPC) global oil and natural gas report, Facing the Hard Truths About Energy, and the Administration’s Advanced Energy initiatives to maintain a secure supply of affordable energy to the American people.
