U.S. Department of Energy Official at the New York International Auto Show to Highlight the Administration’s Efforts to Bring Online Clean, Energy Efficient Vehicles
 
WASHINGTON, DC - On Thursday, March 20, 2008, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy John Mizroch, on behalf of Assistant Secretary Andy Karsner, will participate in a press conference at the New York International Auto Show to highlight the Department’s research, development and deployment efforts to bring online more clean and energy-efficient vehicles to help transform how this nation uses power.  Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Mizroch is expected to specifically discuss DOE’s work with the X PRIZE Foundation in an effort to promote education efforts and outreach for the Automotive X PRIZE.  Dr. Peter Diamandis, X PRIZE Foundation CEO and Chairman at the New York International Auto Show, will also join Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Mizroch.
